Sartorius BIA Separations
The CIMac OH Analytical Columns are designed for fast and reproducible HPLC monitoring and quantitation of large solutes, including virus particles, VLPs, vesicles, and lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). Utilizing an uncharged (neutral) ligand, these columns operate over a pH range of 2–10, retaining very large solutes in the presence of precipitating salts or polyethylene glycol. They facilitate high-resolution elution in order of increasing size, making them ideal for process analytical technology (PAT). The hydrophilic nature of the OH column, combined with kosmotropic salts, allows for effective separation of LNPs from free nucleic acids, which remain unbound due to their charge and lack of hydrophobicity.
Key Features:
- Uncharged (neutral) ligand for versatile applications
- Working pH range of 2–10
- Retains large solutes in the presence of precipitating salts or polyethylene glycol
- High-resolution elution in order of increasing size
- Sanitizable with 1 M NaOH for easy maintenance
