SDVB (polystyrene divinylbenzene)

The strongly hydrophobic structure of polystyrene divinylbenzene (SDVB) enables reversed phase purification of nucleic acids and other biomolecules. It is characterised by:

  • Strongly hydrophobic surface for RP or ion-pair RP chromatography
  • Enables size separation and purification of nucleic acids (DNA, RNA)
  • High caustic stability, flow independent performance, ease of scalability

Note: For optimal performance, exposure of SDVB monolith to aqueous media should be minimised, and mobile phases should contain organic modifiers.
