CIMmultus SO3 is a monolithic chromatographic column with SO3 (Sulfonate), a strong cation-exchanger that binds positively charged molecules and repels negatively charged ones across all pH levels. It effectively binds all AAV serotypes, removes impurities, and ensures high recovery rates. Prior to loading, sample acidification is required to bind AAV to the negatively charged SO3. The capture step depletes host cell DNA and proteins not removed earlier, concentrating and co-eluting full and empty AAV capsids in a single peak.
