CIM® Disk Monolithic Columns - Easy tailor made columns

A CIM® Disk Monolithic Column consists of one to four CIM® Disk(s) in a specially designed housing. This advantageous feature allows the construction of a tailor-made (screening) column consisting of various or equal chemistries for your particular application.

Column capacity can be increased by placing up to 4 disks of the same chemistry into one housing, or assemble a CIM® Conjoint Liquid Chromatography (CLC) Disk Monolithic Column consisting of up to 4 disks of varoius chemistries. CLC columns allow single step protein separations and purifications-an innovative and advantageous feature for performing complex separations and purifications.

CIM® Disk

The CIM® Disk consists of a CIM® methacrylate-based porous polymer matrix and a non-porous, self-sealing fitting ring that ensures only axial flow through the disk and prevents any sample and mobile phase leakage or by-pass. This ensures that all of the mobile phase is driven through the entire volume of the matrix. Additionally, the CIM® matrix has a well-defined channel-size distribution providing excellent separations at low back pressure.

CIM® Disk Housing

The CIM® housing provides excellent sample distribution, simple handling, and can be easily connected to any LC/HPLC or FIA system. CIM® Disk Housings are available in PEEK and POM material.
