CIM® EDA-8f mL Tube Monolithic Column for Ligand Immobillization

Cat. No.: 430.5116

General Description:

CIM® EDA immobilization columns are amine activated monolithic supports obtained by reacting the native epoxy groups with ethylene diamine. CIM® EDA monoliths can be used for affinity chromatography or bioconversion by immobilizing proteins, peptides and other ligands through a crosslinking reaction with a suitable bifunctional reagent, e. g. glutaric dialdehyde.

Features and Benefits:

  • Flow unaffected resolution
Extremely fast separations speed up method development and decrease costs. Speed also enables in-process control and analytics.
  • High dynamic binding capacity
High binding capacity, even for large molecules, boost productivity even to 10-fold!
  • High throughput at low pressure drop
High flow rates can be achieved at moderate pressure drops- no need for expensive equipment (pumps).
  • Same material and design accross all products.
Same material and design accross all sizes, enable easy scale-up from analytical, semi-prep and industrial scale.

Dimensions and Operating Conditions:

Monolith Dimensions
  • Outer diameter, Do: 15.0 mm
  • Inner diameter, Di: 6.5 mm
  • Length, L: 56.0 mm
  • Bed volume, V: 8.0 mL
Operating Conditions
  • Flow rates: up to 400 mL/min (uav = 1340 cm/h)
WARNING: Reversing the flow direction can seriously damage the column!
